Water Rights Conservation Program
Due to budget cuts exceeding 20%, staff reductions and unfunded spending mandates, K.A.R. 5-7-4, has been amended. Applications for enrollment in the water rights conservation program (WRCP) will not be accepted after December 31, 2009, so remaining staff can focus on statutorily defined responsibilities like processing new and change applications, and certifying water rights, which are important to the sustained vitality of Kansas’ farms, ranches, industries and cities. The amended regulation became effective December 28, 2009. Please see the following links for additional information.
