Division of Water Resources Field Offices
Four field offices serve Kansans across the state. Each field office is managed by a Water Commissioner who is the Chief Engineer’s agent. For people interested in water rights, these offices provide DWR with staff who are familiar with water issues in a particular area.

Some duties which are conducted by staff from each field office are:
- Administering available water supplies
- Providing assistance to the public
- Processing certain changes to existing water rights
- Conducting field inspections and investigations
- Investigating complaints related to water
- Determining compliance of water rights
- Collecting data
- Providing access to water right records
