Kansas Conservation District Handbook
The information presented in the Kansas Conservation District Handbook is designed to assist conservation district staff and supervisors in administering the activities of the conservation district. It covers many laws and regulations affecting conservation districts along with guidelines and suggestions to aid in implementing effective conservation district programs. The handbook is posted as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file.
Many of the examples in the handbook are included as "Additional Resources" in MS Word format that you may customize for your own use, along with other documents that you can print and use as a reference.
To search for a specific word or phrase press Ctrl + F on your keyboard. Then, type the word or phrase you are searching for in the window where the cursor appears and press the enter key. The first match is highlighted and click on the Find Next feature to find the next match.
The Division of Conservation is in the process of updating this handbook. As the chapters are revised, the chapter title will indicate "draft" with the last date content was updated, appearing in green text color. Once the draft status no longer applies, only the last date content was updated will appear in green text color.
Please note that the information in Chapter 6, Conservation District Law and Legal Information, is going to be placed in other Chapters, so following revisions, Chapter 6 will be District Operations. Keep this in mind when you see a reference to Chapter 6, District Operations, when viewing the revised chapters.
