The department typically works with stakeholder advisory groups to develop new or amended regulations, so affected groups are engaged early in the process. In all cases, after regulations are approved by the Department of Administration and Attorney General’s Office a public hearing notice is published in the Kansas Register and on the agency’s website providing at least 60-days notice and a comment period on new/amended regulations.
