Distribution of the eCVI
The Kansas Division of Animal Health has worked with Colorado's Animal Industry Division to develop an electronic Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (eCVI). The form is designed after the familiar large animal health papers, is in fillable PDF format, and is returnable by email to KDAH. We have begun distributing this electronic form to accredited Kansas veterinarians. If you are interested in receiving the eCVI, with either a one-on-one or group demonstration, please contact the Topeka office at (785) 296-2326, or contact your area KDAH representative.

Price Change on ICVI Books
Production and prices are changing on paper books of Interstate Certificates of Veterinary Inspection. Previously, books of 50 were printed; now they will be $10.00 for a book of 25. In addition, we are phasing out large animal vs small animal certificates and have gone to a single Certificate of Veterinary Inspection form. Please contact the Kansas Division of Animal Health with any questions at (785) 296-2326.
Forwarding Ceased on KAHD Mail
In July 2011, the Kansas Animal Health Department became the Divison of Animal Health and moved its physical address into the Kansas Department of Agriculture offices. The Post Office has ceased forwarding mail from the former office, and we are receiving many phone calls about returned mail. Please be sure you are sending any mail to the correct address:
Kansas Department of Agriculture, Division of Animal Health 109 SW 9th St., 4th Floor Topeka, KS 66612
Status of Proposed Trich Regulation
A public hearing was held on January 10, 2013 to discuss the proposed Trichomoniasis regulation. After listening to comments from various segments of the Kansas livestock industry, changes will be made to the proposal with a new 60-day comment period to be announced.

National Veterinary Accreditation Renewals
Please be reminded that accreditation renewals are beginning to cycle this year, starting with January 31, 2013. Those veterinarians up for renewal should receive e-mail or letter notification from APHIS, reminding them of the approaching need to complete the appropriate hours of APHIS Approved Supplemental Training (AAST) and renewal. Renewal can be accomplished either on-line or via hard-copy. Please feel free to call our office at (785) 228-6565 with any questions or concerns.
