BOVINE SPONGIFORM ENCEPHALOPATHY (BSE)

Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy inspections are conducted at all levels of commercial feed commerce including manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, renderers, food and pet food salvagers to ensure no prohibited ruminant animal products are used in feed or are fed to ruminants. Kansas Administrative Regulation (K.A.R.)  4-3-51 adopts the Federal Code of Regulations pertaining to prohibited feed stuffs.
