INSPECTIONS
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) inspections are conducted routinely at feed manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with federal requirements as adopted in Kansas Administrative Regulations (K.A.R.) 4-3-49 and 4-3-50. The GMP’s establish procedures for feed manufacturers to help prevent manufacturing problems that could lead to feed causing health, environmental or economic situations. The GMP’s also contain procedures to facilitate trace-back or recall of products. Firms not meeting the GMP requirements are re-inspected for compliance.
