2012 Census of Agriculture

The Census of Agriculture, conducted every five years, is the nation's leading source of facts and figures about American agriculture. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agriculture Statistical Service will mail forms in late December 2012 and farmers and ranchers are asked to respond by mail or online by February 3, 2013.

The 2012 Census of Agriculture will collect information concerning all areas of farming and ranching operations, including production expenses, market value of products, and operator characteristics. This information is used by federal, state and local governments, agribusinesses and more.
