Kansas Organic Certification Cost-Share Program
The Kansas Department of Agriculture has received funds from USDA’s Economic Research Service to help Kansas producers and handlers pay for organic certification or recertification. Under our agreement with USDA, we will be able to reimburse producers and handlers up to 75 percent of the cost of organic certification up to $500, for certification occurring between Oct. 1, 2006, and Sept. 30, 2007, as long as funds remain.
To receive cost-share funds, you must complete the 2006-2007 Kansas Organic Certification Cost-Share Program Application and submit it along with a copy of your organic certification document and an invoice showing the amount you paid for that certification.
Questions about cost-share funds for organic certification may be directed to Stacey Woolington at (785) 296-3230, or by email to swoolington@kda.state.ks.us.
