Meat and Poultry Inspection Registration

If you want to register with the Kansas Meat and Poultry Inspection Program the requirements vary depending on what type of operation or business you have and your intended customers.  If you perform multiple activities, you may need more than one registration and/or type of inspection.  

Use the following chart to determine what type of operation or business you have, the type of inspection needed, the forms you will need to complete and the annual fees for each.

If you are constructing a new facility or starting operations, the following guidelines are provided to assist you:

Whether you are constructing a new facility or purchasing an existing facility, the Kansas Meat and Poultry inspection staff is available to review the state and federal requirements with you and answer any questions you may have.  If you plan to purchase an existing facility, our staff is available to walk through with permission of the current owner/operator.  Contact us for more information.
