Biotechnology Notification Inspections
In 2005, the Kansas Department of Agriculture began participating in a pilot project with the USDA’s Biotechnology Regulatory Services to provide inspections of sites where federally approved plantings are authorized. This project is intended to provide a higher level of inspection activity in the state than could be performed by USDA alone.
Inspection results are provided to and evaluated by the USDA who is responsible for implementing any corrective actions.
