Mobile Diagnostic Laboratory

In cooperation with Kansas USDA staff and other cooperators, program staff have been converting a 26-foot mobile travel trailer into a diagnostic response unit. This unit can be towed anywhere in the state and serve as a preliminary screening and diagnostic facility in the field.

The unit has been designed to be flexible so that other agency programs, such as Meat and Poultry Inspection, Dairy, and Food Safety, could also use the unit in the event of an emergency in those programs.
