Pest detection supports the export of Kansas-produced plants and plant products to other states and foreign countries.

Early detection of exotic pests, including those of homeland security concern, is critical to protecting Kansas plant resources from the establishment of these pests.

Program staff have built cooperative relationships with state and federal public agencies, academic institutions, and private industry in Kansas to maximize the resource utilization.
