Meat and Poultry Application for Registration 
Registered facilities include fully inspected meat plants - those which can sell directly to the consumer, hotels and restaurants and retail stores within Kansas; custom plants - those which process meat for the owners, their families and guests; wholesalers; animal food manufacturers and brokers.

An applicant for a registration must provide all information requested and pay an application fee based on the number of animals slaughtered. Only the person who is named on the registration can conduct operations at that registered establishment. Persons interested in entering this business should contact us. Our review team will visit your establishment and make suggestions to meet requirements necessary to become registered and begin operating. Registration expires December 31 of each calendar year.

Meat and Poultry Application for Custom and Retail Operation Exemption If you checked any of the Custom fields on the Application for Registration, you will need to fill out the Meat and Poultry custom form.

Wholesaler or Public Warehouseman Application for Registration Wholesalers and Public Warehousemen are required to register with Kansas Department of Agriculture before they engage in business. You will need to list all persons, individuals, partners, officers, holders or owners of 10 per centum or more of voting stock, and employees in a managerial or executive capacity in the business. To obtain label approvals, you must contact the inspector at the plant where the animals are processed. There is no fee and the registration expires December 31 of each calendar year.
