Basin Management Team
The Basin Management Team is funded by the Kansas State Water Plan and implemented by the Kansas Department of Agriculture's Division of Water Resources. It is designed to take an analytical approach to water resource issues identified in the Kansas State Water Plan. A team of environmental scientists works to assist the chief engineer in finding viable solutions to groundwater decline and streamflow depletion throughout the state.
Mission Statement
To analyze aquifers and stream systems in targeted areas and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and assess water resource management tools and strategies to protect water rights and improve water resource sustainability.
