Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)-Ground and Surface Water Program-Quick Response Area
- Voluntary program with a contract for four years, three years of payments
- Additional incentives offered to water rights located within the targeted area
- Conversion to dryland farming
- Additional point given to those willing to enter the Water Rights Conservation Program (WRCP) for ten years
- Applications can be taken at the NRCS service centers

Central Kansas Water Banking Association
- Voluntary program available in the Big Bend Groundwater Management District #5
- Water is deposited in the bank and leased out but with a 10% consumptive use savings

Water Transition Assistance Program (Water TAP)
- Voluntary program targeted for the Rattlesnake Creek Subbasin due in part to the Rattlesnake Creek Partnership's efforts
- Permanent dismissal of water right
- Land is available for dryland farming
- Monetary compensation is based on the value of the water right
