Surface Water

The Basin Management Team used four tributaries in the northwest Kansas Ogallala-High Plains fringe area for this analysis. The fringe area is outside Northwest Kansas Groundwater Management District No. 4.  These four tributaries have historical New Window United States Geological Survey gage data available.  They are the South Fork Republican River, Beaver Creek, Sappa Creek and Prairie Dog Creek. All four are located in portions of Cheyenne, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton and Phillips Counties.
