The Division of Water Resources maintains a list of certified flowmeters certified by their manufacturers to meet specifications identified by the chief engineer. The list includes more than 100 water flowmeters identified by manufacturer, model name, type and size, so there should be one to meet your specific application. The Division of Water Resources does not recommend specific water flowmeter models but may suggest types of flowmeters (propeller, full-bore electromagnetic, positive displacement, etc.) that best fit your application. Staff will answer questions about specific models on the list, but those answers will be limited to technical information provided to us by the manufacturer, such as spacing requirements, available sizes, straightening vane requirements, head loss, etc. The best place to get information about flowmeters, including price, is from the manufacturer's representative. The Division of Water Resources maintains contact information for manufacturers, which we will share with you, but that should not be interpreted to mean we endorse any particular product.
